I was searching for all thing I.C.E. install related as I'm thinking about building a little custom install when I suddenly thought - why not have an I.C.E. section in the Mazda Rotarys Hallowed Forum pages?!? Lots of REX owners seem to be interested in some sort of I.C.E. upgrade these days, be it which speakers will fit the, or full on boot builds. Does anyone else think this may benefit the forum members and generally be a good idea?

personally yeah i think its a good idea - i think you need to convince clive/glen though !!

at the end of the day we could run it for a month - and if no one uses it - then close that section down

but i seem no harm in trying :)

How about we run a poll in the members section to see of everyone fancies this?

Sounds good to me though?

Didnt realise the pun until you pointed it out.

Nice bodykit on your rex by the way. Maybe we need to get some space reserved at R2 for veilside kitted RX7's.

got to still plumb in the install, going back to the thread:D

Got to wait as I have now decided to move the battery.

Sounds good. Do you think most of it will be sorted for Rotorstock then?

Nice to know others think the I.C.E. sections a 'cool' idea (sorry - awful attempt), even if there are just four of us! I recon everyone else is just shy! ;) The members section poll idea sound like a great way to get a semi-accurate picture of how useful it could be (although I am still in the process of renewing my membership  - must get it done actually as I need it for my insurance in a couple of weeks!)

Good idea, but maybe it would be better to create an 'Electrical/ICE' section?

sounds like a good idea to me too ;)

Aye, sounds like a great idea to me too.

Upgrading the ICE in mine is next on my list. ALready got a fancy headunit, but i'm going to upgrade the speakers, maybe fit a small yet effective sub and amp, etc....

It was going to be, but now it is going to wait untill Ross has relocated the battery to the boot. So I am afraid it is not going to be ready:(

Hi all,

Well, I sent a PM to Clive to see what he thinks of the idea. Hopefully hear something soon. Anyone else interested in the addition of an I.C.E. & Electrical section, please don't hesitate to add your comments.

Thanks :)

sure go for it, installed an amp, speakers and complete re-wiring for the sole purpose of just simply hooking up an mp3 player, so happy to help where needed.

I'm deffinatly up for this!!!

It would be great for people to offer views and advice on this subject.

I'm in the middle of building mine at the minute, so it would be nice to share views/comments/pic/advice.

Pretty please mr clive can we have a dedicated section?

I havent heard any views about this new I.C.E./Electrical section from Clive or Glen yet. I recon if we all start pm'ing them they'll get fed up and give in! ;) :rollin

Seriously though. If anyone does have any ideas about how we could turn the idea into reality, please dont hesitate ti share it. :wave

I've just replaced my back seats with 2X10" subs powered by an 800W amp, It's okay but the power supply to the head unit needs upgrading to get any volume out of it.

An I.C.E section would help me out in this area.

Come on Clive and Glen! I'm sure you'll agree that there's quite a bit of interest in this I.C.E. and Electrical section idea. What do you think? Any chance of adding a new section for the Bass Junkies and Electro-freaks?!? :D

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! and sorry about the delay in responding.

Thanks so much Glen, It's odd to see a section with just a couple of subjects in it - I'm sure it'll be full in no time tho!

Cheers again! :wave
