has anyone got the rotary haynes manual, or any of the other rx-7 related books???

what book is best for learning about the rotary?????I already know the basics and want to further my knowledge

howstuffworks .com or somthing like that has a very good section on the rotary engine + lots of good links + recomendations for good reference books
Theres aslo a website called the illustrated rotary engine that was very very good but I can't find the link :rolleyes:
As for books, I don't have any on rotary's alone but the Brian Longs book RX7 mazda's rotary sports car is very good :)
I think its published by veloce but amazon is cheaper :D

i was just thinking, if want to know more about a rotary do you think it wood be a good learning experiance and possible to find a rotary engine which is blown for cheap, strip it and find out more that way???

Hi mate!
Yes - great idea, it really will show you how these things work. It was one of my first introductions to the engine.
I purchased a dead engine from a friend of mine for $100 in Sydney about 12 years ago - I understood it so much more after that.
You could phone around some of the rotary workshops and get them to send you one, shouldn't cost you too much?

Yes!
I have an official mazda workshop manual for series 2 egi. Purchased from mazda when I bought my egi. Now have a series 3 and no longer need it. Cost me £70. Open to offers.

Eddie hi ed.. probably a stupid question but dose it cover the turbo 2,if it does send me an e mail. i only live up the road from you. do you work near the new audi place ?:)

Jason You can order the Haynes (US soft back) from Halfords about
£14ish, book no- 61036(1419) this covers 'all' models 86-91
some good diags taken from O.E.M. service manual, but you
can download the O.E.M. s.m. from the net took me about a day
though.
