hey as the title suggests i don't know whether to get a TII or a 3rd gen. If i got the 3rd gen i'd get it imported, although has anyone had a TII imported?? Was it worth it??

I've got £1500 saved now but will be buying when im 21 in a year and could save around £8000 by then. So should i get a 3rd gen, and leave it standard or get a TII and do 1st and 2nd stage mods??intake, exaust, ecu etc.

What do yous guys think, by the way the difference in insurance when im 21 is £200, between the 3rd gen and TII, so that isnt the decider.

it depends what you want ... a 2nd gen is OK but they don't handle that well (compared to an FB or FD) and are on the bulky side, they are however very cheap at the moment and they have a huge power potential

The 3rd gen is also good, it handles well out of the box, and they go well too

so it realy depends what you want to do ... buy a TII and modify the hell out of it to get it to perform at std. FD levels or buy an FD for 4 times the price and leave it relatively std.

I know what I'd do but you don't like 1st gens yet :D !!

sorry the 1st gen will be my runaround :D . I wish. I still like the looks of the 2nd gen, i haven't seen one in the flesh but i dont think it looked bulky, and im sure it way out-handles the cavalier i drive now:cool: . Does any one know about importing a TII? Any more advice is greatly appreciated and needed

it has to be said fc`s are no f1 car in the weight department, i nearly gave myself an injury pushing it into the garage ( and that was without an engine ). it is surprising that there as fast as they are.. :D :D

I was thinkin about an import because i've searched yahoo.co.jp and all the 2nd gens look stunning, and mint. The roads in japan have no or very little salt put on them so theres not a problem with them rusting. It was just an idea.

I wanted a 3rd gen for a while but when i started researching i started to notice the TII was nice, Then when i raced one i thought it was the one for me. I then look at a 3rd gen and want one, so the cycle goes on.

Does anyone know where i could get ago in a 3rd gen, as a passenger of course.

Proberly will be the Quickest rx7 never mind T2 LOL.

I dont like the rear passive rear steer (bit unstable at speed) but with some race beat Bushings and a set of Billy's u better watch out Mike.

Shame there aint more intrest in Turbo 2's.
