Starting to hot up here in Oz, a guy called Phil Laird has done wonders with the car/tune etc.

can you imagine how scary 191 mph must be. :( in a car you built yourself... :( :(

Thats damn quick, strange combination though, 4 rotor engine and BMW body, i would have though that would be heavy, even stripped. Obviously works though.

On the engine dyno it made around 990hp at 6500rpm. The dyno was having trouble holding the engine so it was fited to the car and taken to the track. Even the V8 guys admit to run 192mp/h in a car of the BMWs weight takes over 1300hp at the flywheel.

Just saw photo and read that bar b ran through the end of the track in oz (wsid I think) after the chute failed to open. The car wasnt too badly damaged thankfully but more to the point the driver was ok. Someone must be looking after him!
