Found this on a US forum.

This guy is installing a 13B Cosmo into his FD. If you ask why, check out these pictures of the Secondary ports, and the larger intake runners.

I like the idea of a bigger inlet manifold. The ability to flow more air is all in the name of more power. ;)

Its good and also not good.

The Rew is alot newer engine and so has better Oil Sytem and Staitionary gears etc

You are better of fitting Re plates to a Rew. But then you have the 20B problem of Mounts in the wrong place.

This is why Fc's are better for big Hp conversions as all the best engines (Re,20b etc) just bolt in without any major mods unlike the Fd where to fit a Re you might as well get a 20b for the agro it will cause you.

I thought the cosmo 13b was tuned for torque and not power. Due to the more refined and luxurious (spelling?) nature of the cosmo

Thats probably why the intake manifold is longer and the primaries are smaller. I believe the stock turbo's on the Cosmo's are smaller than the FD's too.

The Port its self is smaller but the Runners are bigger on Primarys.

People use the Re alot becouse of the Size of the Runners, but there is even more to the Re that no one has mentioned yet, there is big ristriction in the Exhaust Port runners (Sleeves), they Dont like running Single turbo's even in the 20B form with them still in.

You can get good Hp from a Re but it is alot of Agro.

P.S. this is Chris Andersons 9 second Re engine
