MikeLMR mentioned that he thought that pre-1985 Wankel engined cars were subject to a visual emission test only but I don't think he ever found chapter and verse from his MOT Station Inspector dad.
Today I faced the problem and my MOT man said this was wrong and showed me the Exemptions Manual. The manual only actually LISTED the FD models however.
While he was doing the MOT I browsed the Expemption Manual and actually found the relevant paragraph on page two - this says that Wankel engine cars which are pre-1985 are to be treated as if they were a pre-1975 car and subject to a visual check only.
So..........thanks 1,000,000 MikeLMR !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must say that becoming a member of this club has saved the membership fee several times over in good advice, spares etc. I hope perhaps I can help someone in a similar manner some time but all I know about is graphics, photos, a bit of web design and stuff.
