Hi anyone know where you can get the bits to get the old style front nose replaced with the '99 on facelift front lights and bumper, where these parts parts can be sourced from and how much. I guess you need just the replacement nose and the lights, if anyone knows I would really appreciate it.

Anthony.

I am sure that Clive will reply, as he has just done this swap.

When I looked at it it wasn't going to be cheap, IIRC you are looking at a grand plus spraying and fitting. The bumper was four hundred odd, the painful bit was the lights which were almost four hundred then there was another couple of hundred for the splitter. Still the whole lot totals to less than the cost of the 99 spec rear wing

Roberto is right , not a cheap hobby this one , to do this job 100%
you also need the under bumper which is the same price as the nosecone !
l personaly cut the "eyeholes" out because the back of the new lights don't fitt in the original bumper and saved some money

All the best Clive.

HI,
I was lucky, I picked up the front nose, lights, fog lights,
re-inforcer and the 99 rear wing for £350. They were damaged
and I did obtain them from the breakers. But I can tell you that
the re-inforcer is £750+vat,this includes the lower section which
supports the bottom edge of the nose.

you should get a 99 spec replica bumper, a damn site cheaper, and in my honest opinion it looks better with the licence plate holder shaved off :D

look here, its an american website, but from what i've heard they are really good

you need to buy the lip separately, but it still works out a lot cheaper and looks better

Cheers, good stuff!

Is there really no one in the UK that sells this kind of stuff!
I thought there would be as much RX7 stuff available as there is Skyline GTR (my other car) stuff, but it seems not!
If there are any specialist Rx7 places that sell this kind of stuff in the UK let me know!

I think that you will find that the pockets of the skybus owners are a LOT deeper than those of the average RX-7. They are even more expensive to run than an FD.

Only a couple of places do stuff for the Skybus, and they tend to order parts on a need to basis.

Not true, Abbey motorsport, Rod Bell, G T art, Prospec, Sumo Power, TDi, Hyper SR etc. etc. All keep loads of 'Skybus' :D bits in stock. Cant wait to get an RX7, my pal Miguel tells me they are a real hooligans car!!
